Screw conveyor is designed to transfer drilling cuttings and feed to certical cuttings dryer or high G dryer for further treatment. It is also called auger feeder.Usally, the screw diameter has 4 options: 10 inch, 12inch, 16 inch, 20 inch, screw length is customer built, but commonly there are 12~48feet. Furthermore, depends on clients demand the screw conveyor will be made of different materials. Including carbon steel, stainless steel graded differently.
As per different material to transfer the screw conveyor can be designed as flexible screw conveyor, vertical screw conveyor, circled conveyor, roller conveyor. The auger feeder consisting scroll impeller, shaft (if there is necessary) cover, motor, and gear box.

Some clients need the screw conveyor to perform at variable frequency. The the VFD can be achieved by control panel, also can be achieved by a mechnical way. Based on different clients' preference, there are horizontal direction gear box and the vertical direction gear box. The gear box can be the helical bevel or the helical worm and wheel type.
The drilling cuttings waste or the drilling fluids disposal discharged from solids control equipment need to be treated for further drying process. The screw conveyor will help to transfer the disposal to the cerain pit, cuttings dryer or the filter press machine. For example, auger feeder set besides tank and below shaker discharge end. The auger feeder inlet position or channel beginning part can be fit with a hopper in parallel to discharge slide channel

1. Lubricate the transmission parts such as bearings, gears and chains regularly.
2. After the box conveyor is out of service, check the wear of the spiral blades, and repair welding when the wear is serious.

5. When the conveyor is in operation, if the noise is harsh, the cover should be checked to eliminate the fault.
